Realme has initiated testing for the imminent launch of its upcoming realme 12 Pro series. The company has teased, "Our upcoming surprise is designed to elevate your understanding of the latest technology," accompanied by an image stating, "No periscope. No flagship."
This suggests that the realme 12 Pro series is poised to reintroduce the telephoto camera. Notably, the mid-range realme phone may include a Periscope telephoto camera for the first time. The absence of a telephoto sensor in the realme 7 Pro, which followed the realme 6 Pro launched in 2020 with a 12MP telephoto sensor, suggests a return of the telephoto camera in the upcoming series.
Realme India has shared a teaser on its social media platforms urging people to anticipate the "real update," featuring an image with Morse code translating to "MAKE IT REAL" and the date January 3rd at 7:30 AM IST. The global realme account also aligns with the same date and time, indicating that the global launch will likely occur in India.
The realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+, identified by the model numbers RMX3842 and RMX3840, obtained BIS certification in December, hinting at a possible release later this month. While there are rumors about the global launch of the realme GT5 Pro at MWC 2024 next month, the India launch may take additional time.
Further details about the realme 12 Pro series are expected to be revealed in the coming days, providing insights into what the company has in store for its upcoming devices.
