POCO has confirmed the launch of its upcoming smartphone the POCO X6 series in India on January 11th, after teaser. The teaser features brand ambassador Hardik Pandya showcasing the phone, which is equipped with a 64MP rear camera featuring OIS.
POCO has already announced that the phone will be the first in India to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity-8300 Ultra, the same SoC found in the Redmi K70E. Speculations suggest it might be a rebranded version of the Redmi device, and it is anticipated to be unveiled as the POCO X6 Pro.
Rumors indicate that the phone will boast a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED display with a peak brightness of up to 1800 nits, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1920Hz PWM high-frequency dimming. The device is expected to feature a glass or vegan leather back, a plastic frame, up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage. Additionally, the phone is rumored to include a 64MP rear camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. A substantial 5500mAh battery with 67W fast charging capability is expected to power the phone.
The POCO X6 is reportedly a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, set to launch in India later this week. It will showcase a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1800 nits peak brightness. Powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, the phone is expected to offer up to 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, a 64MP rear camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. The device will be equipped with a 5100mAh battery supporting 67W fast charging.
Rumors are also circulating about the potential launch of the POCO X6 Neo, believed to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 13R Pro.
Both the POCO X6 series and POCO M6 Pro are scheduled for a global debut on the same day. The POCO X6 and X6 Pro have been listed on the Amazon Dubai website at AED 1149 (USD 312 / Rs. 26,065 approx.) and AED 1299 (USD 353 / Rs. 29,490 approx.) respectively for the 12GB + 512GB model.
