After unveiling the design and launch date of the OnePlus 13, now the company has confirmed the camera specifications for its next flagship smartphone. The OnePlus 13 will continue to feature the Hasselblad Triple rear camera system. According to the company, regardless of the lens or focal length used, it will capture Hasselblad’s signature color profile.
Additionally, the OnePlus 13 leverages the same imaging algorithm as OPPO’s Find X8 series, OPPO's most advanced imaging technology to date. This enhances the snapshot experience by combining light, shadow, and detail capture for superior photos.
The main camera will retain the 50MP Sony LYT-808 sensor with OIS, carried over from the OnePlus 12. However, the 64MP OV64B 3X periscope telephoto lens has been replaced with a 50MP 1/1.95″ LYT600 3X periscope telephoto lens with an f/2.6 aperture and OIS. Additionally, there’s a 50MP 120° ultra-wide camera featuring Samsung’s JN5 sensor.
The upgraded "multi-prism reflection structure" in the periscope lens provides a more advanced optical path design, making the module lighter and thinner, while improving focus speed and image clarity. OnePlus claims that this periscope structure is similar to the iPhone Pro series, delivering a high-quality experience.
Louis Jie, head of OnePlus China, said, “With a thinner, lighter, and more user-friendly periscope telephoto lens, combined with Hasselblad’s unique technology, the OnePlus 13 meets your telephoto needs.”
The company also shared sample images from the telephoto lens, highlighting that in Master Mode, the character's skin, expression, and background are rendered with more texture, preserving natural light and shadow for that distinct Hasselblad aesthetic.
