ZTE has clarified that the ZTE Government and Enterprise Product Release is not intended for public sale. However, CEO Ni Fei has affirmed the company's intention to introduce a flagship phone with satellite communication technology for the general public later this year.
Regarding this, ZTE's CEO remarked:
"Currently, satellite communications primarily rely on high-orbit satellites, typically utilized in emergency situations. However, due to the limited number of large high-orbit satellites, there are still constraints in high-speed downloads and dense connections. Looking ahead, with the advancement and civilian application of low-orbit satellites, the potential applications of satellite mobile phones are poised to expand further. Additionally, ZTE possesses substantial expertise in information security, and we are contemplating extending these security technologies and satellite communication capabilities to civilian applications. We are also planning to launch a flagship satellite communications phone for the mass market later this year."
