Vivo is all set to launch the X9 and X9 Plus on November 17 in China. According to latest teasers, the Vivo X9 will come with dual front cameras, a 20MP main camera along with an 8MP secondary unit.
From what we heard earlier, the Vivo X9 is expected to run on the new Snapdragon chips with X9 LTE modems, hinting at the Snapdragon 653 on both devices. Coming back to those cameras, I don't remember seeing a phone with a 20MP camera yet. Given that the selfie craze isn't dying out anytime soon, this could end up being one of the best cameras for taking selfies.
While there is no word on the rear camera, which are still quite important, the Vivo X9 Plus may even feature a dual-camera setup at the back. The design from the back does look awfully similar to the iPhone 7 with the antenna lines pushed to the periphery. There's a front-facing fingerprint sensor here as well embedded in the home button. Vivo is also expected to make the switch to a USB Type-C port for the X9 and the 3.5mm headphone jack will be retained.
Given that the launch is just a couple of weeks away, we are bound to hear a lot more in the coming days.
