Vivo has begun teasing the launch of its V40 and V40 Pro smartphones in India, both equipped with ZEISS optics. The vivo V40 was officially released in Europe last month, so its full specifications are already known.
Vivo has now confirmed that the V40 Pro will feature a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX921 sensor, an upgrade from the IMX920 in the V30 Pro. It will also retain the 50MP ultra-wide sensor, a 50MP 2x telephoto portrait camera with a Sony IMX816 sensor, and a 50MP front camera with a 92° field of view.
The phone will have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and an Ultra Durable Build. Vivo claims it will be the slimmest smartphone in the 5500mAh battery category, offering 20% more energy density and 1000mAh more battery capacity than similar-sized batteries.
The vivo V40 Pro will be available in Ganges Grey and Titanium Grey in India. The V40 will also come in these colours, as well as Lotus Purple.
