Sony Xperia T2 Ultra

Sony has just added two new mid-range phablets to its arsenal. The Xperia T2 Ultra and T2 Ultra Dual are virtually identical in every way expect that the dual has two SIM card slots. The highlight here is the 6-inch triluminous display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Its quite thin at just 7.6 mm and knowing what it packs inside makes that even more impressive.

The Xperia T2 Ultra is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of onboard storage which is expandable using micro SD card. Sony also says that the T2 Ultra features best in class 13 MP camera with Exmor RS sensor and a 1.1 MP front facing shooter with Exmor R sensor. Its no slouch in the connectivity department with NFC and LTE onboard as well.

Powering the device is a massive 3000 mAh battery and considering the thin profile of the device, cramming such a large battery is quite an accomplishment. The Xperia T2 Ultra and T2 Ultra dual will be launched globally starting with China, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. At this point there is no word exactly when it will be available or the price tag. But we expect it to cost somewhere between $500 to $550.
