snapdragon 8 elite 7 core features launch.

Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 8 Elite, its flagship SoC, in October of last year, powering the latest high-end smartphones. Recently, the company quietly introduced a 7-core CPU variant of the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which features one fewer CPU core compared to the original 8-core version.

The standard Snapdragon 8 Elite includes 2 Oryon Prime CPUs clocked at up to 4.32GHz and 6 Oryon Performance CPUs running at up to 3.53GHz. In contrast, the 7-core version retains the same 2 Oryon Prime CPUs but features only 5 Oryon Performance CPUs, also clocked at up to 3.53GHz.

Aside from the reduced core count, the specifications remain unchanged. As a distinct version, the 7-core variant carries a new part number: SM8750-3-AB, compared to the original SM8750-AB.

Partners and Availability -

Details about the partners for this new model have yet to be disclosed. OEMs are expected to announce further information regarding the chip’s availability and pricing. Given that devices powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite tend to be more expensive than those with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, it remains to be seen where this new variant will fit in the market.
