Sharp has launched its latest flagship 5G smartphone the Sharp AQUOS R7 in the 2022 summer lineup in Japan, which is the successor of last year’s AQUOS R6. It has a 6.6-inch WXGA+ IGZO OLED with a 1Hz-240Hz adaptive refresh rate and has Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. It runs on the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB UFS 3.1 storage and is based on Android 12.
It is the first phone that has a 47.2MP 1″ sensor with a Leica Sumicron lens, which is 1.8 times brighter than the predecessor, as per the company. It can quickly and accurately focus on moving people and objects with the help of a high-speed AF function. Along with this, it has a 1.9MP secondary camera for portrait mode.

The Sharp AQUOS R7 comes in Black and Silver colors and it will be available from July 2022 in Japan through local operators NTT Docomo and Softbank. The Pricing of the phone will be announced near to the launch.
