Samsung Z Tizen Phone

Samsung has finally decided to gives its home-brew Tizen OS a chance on smartphones. Here is the Samsung Z with a 4.8-inch 720p AMOLED display, a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and 8 MP primary camera. It also includes a fingerprint sensor. There's 2 GB RAM and 16 GB onboard storage. LTE, NFC, IR Blaster and a 2600 mAh battery also find a way into the Samsung Z SM-Z910F.

Samsung is quite elated at the web-rendering and scrolling performance of Tizen and said it provides, "a fast, optimal performance with improved memory management" along with "a faster start-up time and immediate multi-tasking capabilities."

Samsung Z doesn't do much to differentiate itself from the company's Galaxy line-up in terms of interface but doesn't come with support of the millions of Android apps at launch. The phone will launch initially in Russia in Q3 2014 and will be available in other markets after that.
