Samsung is all set to launch its new Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 2016 edition smartphones in India with metal frame. The company has just started sending out invites for the launch of both new Galaxy J 2016 series devices in India.
Both the Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) were earlier launched in China and we would be getting pretty much the same variants in India.
The smaller Galaxy J5 2016 edition comes with a 5.2-inch 720p HD display while the Galaxy J7 has a 5.5-inch 1080p display. Even underneath the hood you have Snapdragon 410 on the J5 2016, same as last year but with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The Galaxy J7 (2016) gets a spec bump to Exynos 7870 with 3GB RAM and 16GB storage.
You also have 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras on both with f/1.9 aperture for better performance in low light. The J7 also gets a bigger 3300 mAh battery compred to the 3100 mAh battery on the J5. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM 4G LTE support, WiFi, Bluetooth, FM-Radio, GPS as well as NFC.

Both smartphones run on Android Marshmallow with the new lighter TouchWiz skin on top and come in white, gold and pink colors. We'll have more information on pricing and availability at the launch event.
