Redmi is gearing up to launch its next K-series smartphone, the Redmi K90 Pro. This smartphone is rumoured to feature a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, an upgrade from the 50MP 2.5x telephoto lens found in the K80 Pro. This information comes from Leaker Digital Chat Station, which indicated that it is part of the Redmi Pro series lineup.
The device is also expected to include a large aperture and macro capabilities, possibly an ultra-wide macro lens rather than the telemacro lens found on only a few smartphones. It is said to retain a 2K flat OLED display and will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 chipset.
Earlier leaks suggested the Redmi K90 series might feature a battery capacity of up to 7500mAh. For comparison, the Redmi K80 has a 6550mAh battery, while the K80 Pro comes with a 6000mAh battery. Reports also indicate the company is testing 100W charging for its 7500mAh battery, capable of fully charging the device within an hour. Additionally, a phone with an 8000mAh battery is reportedly in development for future releases.
The Redmi K90 series is expected to be unveiled in November this year, following the brand’s usual launch timeline.
