RedMagic has launched its latest flagship gaming smartphones, the RedMagic 9 Pro and RedMagic 9 Pro+ in China, as they promised. Both devices are equipped with the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and have achieved an impressive AnTuTu score of 2,291,328 points. Offering a substantial performance boost, they support up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
Both have a 6.8-inch OLED BOE Q9+ display, these phones boast a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a 960Hz multi-finger screen touch sampling rate, 2000Hz instant touch sampling rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming + DC dimming, and a peak brightness of up to 1600 nits.
The devices incorporate the ICE 13.0 magic cooling system, comprising a 10182mm² VC, a new alloy fan + waterfall air duct, and the CUBE energy engine, utilizing EVS, Power freezing, and super-competitive technologies for high energy efficiency and low consumption. This setup enables the phones to achieve high frame rates during gaming.
Equipped with the built-in independent gaming chip "Red Core R2 Pro," these phones enhance shoulder keys, vibrations, game lighting effects, and sound effects. The 520Hz touch sampling shoulder triggers, featuring new lighting effects and glass material, increase sensitivity by 20%. The phones also introduce the largest X-axis linear motor in the history of Red Magic, along with Magic Sound stereo dual speakers, dual 1115K speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and three microphones dedicated to gaming.
Camera-wise, the phones sport a 50MP 1/1.57-inch Samsung GN5 sensor, a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide camera, and a 16MP under-screen front camera. The Red Magic 9 Pro packs a 6500mAh battery with 80W fast charging, reaching 100% charge in just 35 minutes, while the Red Magic 9 Pro+ features a 5500mAh battery with 165W charging, achieving a full charge in an impressive 16 minutes.
