Nubia RedMagic has officially revealed the display's full specifications, after confirming the 1.5K BOE true full-screen display with an ultra-high screen-to-body ratio for the RedMagic 10 Pro series. The RedMagic 10 Pro+ will feature a 6.85-inch (2688×1216 pixels) OLED screen from BOE with no punch-hole, a 144Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of 2000 nits, and 2592Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
This display will offer some of the industry's thinnest black borders and frames, measuring just 1.25mm, with a middle frame wall thickness of 0.7mm, resulting in a bezel width of only 1.95mm. The phone is confirmed to have an impressive 95.3% screen-to-body ratio.
James, the General Manager of RedMagic China, shared that this advanced full-screen display technology was developed over five years by the RedMagic expert team. Through meticulous calculations and refinement, they achieved an outstanding level of pixel consistency between the main screen and the FDC hole, ensuring uniform picture quality. Additionally, the external pixel density in the FDC hole has reached the limits of current full-screen technology, contributing to the remarkable 1.5K resolution full-screen display.
To support the higher refresh rate of the "Wukong Screen," the company calibrated the main and secondary screens separately, implementing 20 extreme mask processes and introducing 13 innovative production techniques, resulting in the 144Hz refresh rate.
This achievement is a combination of the industry's most advanced ultra-narrow border technology and the super COP packaging process developed in collaboration with BOE. With the joint efforts of both R&D teams, they have reduced the screen borders to an astonishingly narrow width.
Additionally, the smartphones will be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, and rumors suggest they will feature a massive 7050mAh battery with support for up to 100W fast charging.
