Realme has now divulged the display details for its flagship realme GT5 Pro smartphone, just ahead of its scheduled launch in China on December 7th, after confirmation of camera and battery specifications. Previously teased was a 6.78-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED display, with realme China CMO Xu Qi Chase hinting at over 3000nit peak brightness.
Today, the company officially announced that the phone will indeed feature an impressive 4500 nits peak brightness, aligning with the specifications of the OnePlus 12. This device boasts a global maximum brightness of 1600 nits and a manual maximum brightness of 1000 nits. Its display features include Pro-XDR high dynamic display, TUV Rheinland Global Eye Protection 3.0, 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, high-brightness DC Dimming, 8T LTPO tech, a 144Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz instant touch sampling rate, 144Hz refresh rate, and an extensive 20,000 levels of dimming, as confirmed by the company.
The Chief Marketing Officer of realme China emphasized that this smartphone provides the industry's premier screen brightness experience, delivering a genuine and cutting-edge visual encounter in both specifications and user experience. While competing flagship models may boast 4000 nits peak brightness, he pointed out that their global maximum brightness is limited to 1200 nits, with manual maximum brightness capped at 700 nits.
Certification details have previously unveiled a 6.78-inch display with a resolution of 2780×1264 pixels for this phone. With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC already confirmed, the company has now officially announced the inclusion of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The smartphone will be equipped with a robust 5400mAh battery supporting 100W fast charging, capable of reaching a 50% charge in just 12 minutes. Additionally, it will feature 50W wireless charging.
As per recent listings, the realme GT5 Pro is anticipated to have a starting price of 3499 yuan (approximately USD 495 / Rs. 41,255).
