The X8 Engine allows for Natural language processing which gives the Moto X to have an always on mic to listen to your commands, and contextual computing which transfers jobs to specific cores when required.

The phone runs on Android 4.2, and is almost completely stock apart from a few features that Motorola has thrown in. One of them is Active Display, using which only a small portion of the display lights up to show notifications which are actionable.

But that's not all, you can also customize accents which include the camera rim and hardware buttons.
