Motorola has begun seeding Android 4.4.4 KitKat update to the Moto G Dual-SIM in India. The update brings in some UI enhancements, better security, better battery-life and gets rid of those pesky network and SIM card issues that some users faced with the Moto G. The update is 167 MB in size, so you should connect to a WiFi hotspot before beginning the download and also remember to keep your battery charged to atleast 50% before installing the update.
The official release notes say that Android 4.4.4 KitKat for the Moto G Dual-SIM brings:
- Android 4.4.4, KitKat: is the latest release of the Android platform. This release includes accuracy improvements to the power profile, several stability, framework and security fixes including update to OpenSSL.
- Camera - Pause video recording Added the ability to pause video recording with a convenient pause/resume button on the viewfinder.
- Updated Phone dialler: with a new graphical layout and colours to improve consistency and usability.
- Enables Motorola Alert Application: New Motorola Alert application sends periodic alerts with your location to your selected contacts. Now available for download from the Google Play Store.
Motorola is expected to seed the update for the Moto X and the Moto E dual-SIM soon as well.
