The flexible, curved display LG G Flex is officially now available in India. Its been quoted on LG's website with a price tag of Rs. 69,999. Some of the reasons you might even consider buying the 6-inch behemoth is that it comes with a flexible casing which does not break and you can even make the phone flat by applying pressure on its backcover. The display here is curved and the back cover has a special healing coating on it which helps it recover from minor scratches.
The LG G Flex sports top of the line specs with a 2.23 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB RAM, 13 MP camera and a 6-inch 720p plastic OLED display. There's 32 GB of onboard storage and its not expandable. There's a massive 3500 mAh battery which keeps things juiced up while you get almost everything in terms of connectivity including WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G HSPA+. But sadly, even at this premium price point the G Flex still comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and at present there is no word on availability of Android 4.4 KitKat.
Rs. 69,999 is quite steep for any smartphone no matter the specs and the plastic build of the G Flex isn't that impressive. Still if you are into a one-of-a-kind smartphone, there isn't another that's quite the looker. Street price is expected to be around Rs. 65,000.
