iQOO unveiled its iQOO 12 series flagship smartphone earlier this month, with the iQOO 12 set to make its debut in India this December. Details about the company's upcoming mid-range phones, namely the iQOO Neo9 and Neo9 Pro, have now emerged, courtesy of leaks from Digital Chat Station.
These devices are the successors of the iQOO Neo8 and Neo8 Pro, which were introduced earlier this year. Anticipated features for the iQOO Neo9 include a 1.5K display and an upgrade to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, replacing the older model's Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
The main camera is expected to incorporate the Sony IMX920 sensor, as seen in the vivo X100 smartphone. Additionally, there's speculation about the inclusion of a self-developed imaging chip V2, upgrading from V1+, while the V3 chip remains exclusive to the X100 Pro.
Maintaining the high-density batteries and 120W fast charging from the Neo8 series, the iQOO Neo9 and Neo9 Pro are poised to deliver robust performance. A leaked sketch reveals a center-punch-hole screen, a fresh rear camera design, and a 6.78-inch display with narrow frames.
Notably, the phone's texture has undergone significant improvement, featuring a flagship four-curved glass back cover and a dual-color combination. Emphasizing performance, the phone is expected to be thinner. More details about these devices are anticipated in the coming weeks.
