Huawei unveiled Honor 7X at a media event in China last month. The company now revealed that they are going to launch the device here in India on December 5 for an ‘unbeatable price’ and it will be available for sale starting December 7th at 12PM. The device will go on sale as an Amazon exclusive.
The official Twitter profile of Honor India confirmed that they are conducting an event on December 5 in London, where the Indian launch of Honor 7X would happen alongside the global release of Honor V10. You can watch the event live on their Facebook page at 8 PM IST.
Amazon has already started taking registrations for the device.
The Honor 7X, comes at the heels of the rather successful Honor 6X (which still gets recommended as one of the best camera focused smartphones under Rs. 15000). The new avatar sports a 5.93-inch near bezel-less display with 18:9 aspect ratio and full HD+ resolution. Under the hood, it packs in an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset coupled with 4 GB of RAM. Three storage variants were unveiled in China (32, 64, and 128 GB), which can further be expanded using a microSD card. The 3350 mAh battery powered device runs on EMUI 5.1 on top of Android 7.0 Nougat.
The dual rear camera setup on the phone uses a 16-MP primary and a 2-MP secondary sensor, the latter of which is used for depth sensing. The selfie shooter boasts an 8 MP sensor with a wide-angle lens.
The company hasn’t revealed the Indian pricing yet. But we can gain some insight into its pricing from China. The 32 GB variant comes in at a price of CNY 1,299 (approximately Rs. 12,800) whereas the 64 GB variant is priced at CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs. 16,700). We expect both of these variants making their way to India and you would be able to choose from Gold, Aurora Blue, and Black color options.
