Google is gearing up to launch its flagship smartphone the Pixel 6 (Oriole) and Pixel 6 Pro (Raven) later this year in the Global Market. Now, the detailed specifications of the phones have surfaced by leakster Jon Prosser, after the leak of renders of the phones. Both the phones will be based on the latest Android 12 out of the box, and this time the company is said to be planning to offer 5 years of software updates for the phones.
It is not clear if this means 4 years of Android updates and 5 years of security updates, or 5 years for both Android and security updates. The company’s current Pixel phones get 3 years for both software and security updates.
