Asus India Head Dinesh Sharma confirmed that the company will launch its latest flagship smartphone the Asus Zenfone 8 in India soon, after it was launched in the US and Europe back in May 2021. The company also linked a pre-sale page but doesn’t mention any official launch date yet.

Considering the court order issued over a trademark dispute about the use of the ‘Zen’ or ‘ZenFone’ moniker, the Zenfone 8 will be launched in India as ASUS 8Z. The device was spotted on Google’s website under the ASUS 8Z moniker.
As a reminder, the Zenfone 8 has a 5.9-inch 120Hz E4 AMOLED screen, 240Hz touch sampling rate with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It runs on the Snapdragon 888 processor with support for 5G SA/NSA, up to 16GB LPDDR5, 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, and works on Zen UI based on Android 11. It has a dual rear camera setup where a 64MP primary camera along with a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 12MP punch-hole front-facing camera. The back panel has frosted glass and is powered by a 4000mAh battery that supports 30W Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging.
