CMF has launched its first smartphone under the CMF by Nothing brand, the CMF Phone 1 in India, as promised. The phone features a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz Super AMOLED display with up to 2000 nits peak brightness. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and an additional 8GB of virtual RAM, and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage.
The Dimensity 7300 SoC, a successor to the Dimensity 7050 SoC, uses 4nm process technology for enhanced power efficiency, according to the company. The phone operates on Android 14 with Nothing OS 2.6, promising two Android OS updates and three years of security patches.
The CMF Phone 1 features a customizable back cover available in Light Green, Blue (India Only), and Orange colours, with a vegan leather finish in Blue and Orange options. Users can easily swap the back case by removing screws or attaching custom accessories, such as a fold-out stand, cardholder, or lanyard, by unscrewing the accessory point's cover. Notably, Glyph, a feature found in other Nothing phones, is absent here.
For photography enthusiasts, the phone offers a 50MP Sony main camera and a secondary portrait camera, along with a 16MP front camera. It packs a robust 5000mAh battery supporting 33W fast charging, capable of charging up to 50% in just 20 minutes. Notably, the phone does not include a charger in the box and lacks wireless charging capabilities.
