Asus had a very successful year with the Zenfone 2 around the world. Today we see a very interesting leak regarding the Asus Zenfone 3 and Zenfone 3 Deluxe design and some specs. Red Dot 21, the product design award site has just showcased renders of both the Zenfone 3 and Zenfone 3 Deluxe.
The renders show that the phone will feature 2.5D glass bath in front and back and in the render we can also see an aluminum frame. There is a spiral metallic design underneath that glass shell. As per the images leaked we can notice a square rear camera along with laser autofocus module at the back plus a dual LED flash. It seems that the Zenfone 3 would get volume buttons on the right with a fingerprint sensor at the back, while the Zenfone 3 Deluxe will get a physical home button in the front sandwiched between the capacitive back and app-switcher keys.
According to the Red Dot website, the Zenfone 3 and possibly the Zenfone 3 Deluxe as well will feature
• Type-C USB for speedy charging and file transfer
• Front flash for selfie in low light situation
• An optical “Smart Flip Cover”
There is no info on the Processor or the RAM of the phone, and we expect to see Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon processors being used in the new Zenfone series just like the Zenfone 2 but we'll have to wait for more information.
The phones in the images are shown in 3 Colours, Gold, Silver and Black. Asus is expected to announce the phones at Computex 2016 which will be held at the end of May 2016.
