Build Quality

In the front you have the 4-inch WVGA display, VGA camera as well as capacitive buttons which do light up but with a weak backlight. The color reproduction of the display is a bit off and the viewing angles are quite narrow.

Top Side

There’s nothing on the left of the device, but you can see the dual-tone finish of the phone which is silver at the top and dark grey at the bottom. At the top of the phone you have the 3.5mm audio jack and the micro-USB data-syncing/charging port.

Right Side

On the right you will find both the power button and the volume rocker. Both are sturdy and offer good feedback. The buttons don’t wobble either. Moving to the back of the device you will see that the back-cover is divided into three parts. The top part houses the camera and LED flash while the bottom part houses the speakerphone. The back-cover forms the middle part and has a textured finish which makes the phone easier to grip.

Backcover Open

On opening the back-cover you will be able to see two regular SIM card slots, microSD card slot and the battery compartment. The back-cover is tough, doesn't bend or flex easily and moreover doesn't creak when on the phone.

Overall the build is solid and the phone feels good to hold. There seems to be no major issue with the build of the device.

First Impressions

The Micromax Bolt A065 comes with good build quality, a decent display with good touch response and performance. At least that’s what we found in our initial time with the device.

More importantly the Bolt A065 is available for less than Rs. 4000, a price point which first time smartphone buyers as well as feature-phone converts would appreciate a lot. We will be back with the gaming review as well as the full review soon, till then if you have any questions just hit us in the comments sections.
