Xiaomi Mi 3 Review: Excellent performance, good design

There isn't much I can fault with the Xiaomi Mi 3, it has excellent hardware at a great price point. Its also build well, fits nice in your hands and offers good cameras. What more could you ask for, well there's just one thing, expandable storage. Apart from that limitation and that the Xiaomi Mi 3 is a single-SIM device, there is simply nothing wrong with it. The vibrant sharp 1080p display is a pleasure to use and Snapdragon 800 SoC makes sure everything is running smoothly without eating away the battery. Read more...

Huawei Honor Holly Review: Best Budget Android Smartphone

The Huawei Honor Holly represents the changing trends in budget smartphones, they don't need to be bulky, have a poor display or perform sluggishly. The Honor Holly runs KitKat with relative ease has a bright 720p display and decent cameras. The pricing at just Rs. 6,999 is the key here, for that you are getting a lot of bang for your buck. Asus Zenfone 5 Review: The Best Smartphone under Rs. 10,000

The Asus Zenfone 2 performs good and looks good doing it. Its one of the most well-built devices under Rs. 10,000 alongwith excellent hardware. In day-to-day usage you won't see any lag nor in most high-end games. There are a few cons here and there, like the capacitive buttons don't light up and its a bit tall for a 5-inch device. But given the crop of current design apes, the Asus Zenfone series is a breath of fresh air. Moreover, Zen UI is a great value-add in terms of usability. Read more...

Micromax Canvas Nitro A310 Review: Software Issues Aplenty

The Canvas Nitro was meant to compete with the onslaught of the Moto G and Asus Zenfone 5. But its no match in terms of performance nor usability. Moreover the Canvas Nitro heats-up in gaming and there are quite a lot of performance issues here. Games as well as UI lags even though this phone has an octa-core processor with 2 gigs of RAM, again pointing to faulty software. There's quite a lot of bloatware pre-installed as well, further deteriorating the user-experience. Read more...

Nokia Lumia 530 Dual SIM Review: Two Thumbs Down

Nokia's design philosophy has taken a nose-dive with the Lumia 530, it feels bulky and awkward, especially after the sleek looking Lumia 520 and 525. The display here is the worst part about the device, its a very bad TN panel which looks utterly pixelated and colors appear dirty, muddled, under-saturated. Performance is sluggish, games don't play well and the fixed focus rear camera is just useless. I will be giving this phone two thumbs down, and telling you not to buy it. Read more...

Intex Cloud FX Review: Not the Best Carrier for Firefox OS

Mozilla decided to showcase Firefox OS on a low-end device, that too with very limited memory and a poor display. Well, that was a bad choice. The Intex Cloud FX might be dirt cheap, but its not a device worth investing into. You would be better off with a feature phone, as even the basic phone features like calling or texting can become a pain on the Cloud FX after a short while. Read more...

Samsung Galaxy Core 2 Duos Review: Low RAM, Poor Performance and its still Overpriced

With just 768 MB RAM, the Galaxy Core 2 Duos stutters in even basic day-to-day tasks. The UI lags, gameplay is poor and apps take quite a while to load up. Moreover, this is one of the worst displays I have seen in a long time, the colors are just blinding, abysmal viewing angles and everything looks artificial on it. Moreover, Samsung's over-bloated TouchWiz runs like molasses on the Core 2 Duos. You would be better off buying the Zenfone 5 or the Moto G 2nd Gen. Read more...
