ZTE's nubia brand has confirmed to introduce its latest mid-range gaming smartphone the Nubia Play 5G in China on April 21. It will be the first phone in the Play series and is also the company's first phone with the new brand logo.
Nubia has confirmed that it will come with a 6.47-inch AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate as similar to the Red Magic 5G smartphone. The company CEO Ni Fei has shared a video on their Weibo account where it comparing the refresh rate between Nubia play 5G and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
The image shows a bezel on the top with the front camera on the right side, and it will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. It also confirmed that the phone runs on the Snapdragon 765G processor with built-in 5G, up to 8 GB RAM, 256 GB storage and based on Android 10.
Nubia CEO Ni Fei has confirmed that the phone has a quad rear camera setup where 48MP primary camera with Sony IMX586 sensor and it could be along with 8 MP ultra-wide lens, 2 MP macro lens, and 2 MP depth sensor. He has also shared some images captured by the phone.
He also confirmed the Nubia Play 5G is powered by a 5100mAh battery that supports 30W PD fast charging and compatible with QC4.0. The nubia phone has also received 3C certification last month.
