Asus has now given a timetable for Marshmallow updates for its current crop of smartphones available in India. The company has confirmed that the following smartphones will get the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow update by Q2 2016, which means sometime between April and June:
- PadFone S (PF500KL)
- ZenFone 2 (ZE550ML, ZE551ML)
- ZenFone 2 Deluxe (ZE551ML)
- ZenFone 2 Deluxe Special Edition (ZE551ML)
- ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE500KG, ZE500KL, ZE550KL, ZE551KL, ZE600KL, ZE601KL)
- ZenFone Selfie (ZD551KL)
- ZenFone Max (ZC550KL)
- ZenFone Zoom (ZX551ML)
The update will bring some UI changes, including a far less bloated Zen UI as we have come to know. Google apps like Messenger, GMail and Calendar will replace their Asus counterparts. Then you are also getting better battery-life with Doze Mode, granular app permissions, faster animations and better performance throughout.
