XOLO Play 8X-1100 has just gone official featuring 1.7 GHz Octa-core MediaTek SoC, 5-inch full-HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection running Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box. There's 2 GB RAM onboard with 700 MHz Mali-450 GPU. There's 16 GB internal storage which is expandable upto 32 GB using microSD card slot. The Play 8X-1100 is targeted at gamers.
There's a 13 MP camera at the back which uses Sony's Exmor R Sensor, LED Flash alongwith a 5 MP front-facing camera. If these specs sound a little too familiar, XOLO recently also launched XOLO 8X-1000 featuring HIVE UI with a 1.4 GHz octa-core MediaTek SoC. Connectivity options on the 8X-1100 include 3G, WiFi, USB OTG, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0. There's a 2100 mAh battery on-board.
The XOLO Play 8X-1100 is priced at Rs. 14,999 and comes with an updated processor over the 8X-1000. Therefore, its a better option at the moment. Its unclear why XOLO would launch such similar phones at just Rs. 1000 price difference.
