XOLO Omega 5.0 with 5-inch HD IPS display, 1.4 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592M processor with 1 GB RAM launched in India for Rs. 8999. Mali-450 MP4 GPU powers the graphics on the device running Android 4.4.2 KitKat with HIVE UI on top. Futhermore, XOLO has promised Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the new Omega phones.
There's a 8 MP camera at the back with Sony Exmor R sensor and a 2 MP front camera. There's 8 GB of onboard storage which is expandable upto 32 GB. Connectivity options aren't limited either, you get 3G HSPA+ support, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS alongwith Yamaha amplifier with DTS support for better sound quality.
XOLO Omega 5.0 comes with a 2100 mAh battery which is a bit less considering the Octa-core innards. It will be available in 10 major cities across the country starting December 10th. There's 500 MB free data for Vodafone customers as well as unlimited music content on Vodafone Music for 2 months. The Omega 5.0 has been priced at Rs. 8999 which is an excellent price point considering the launch of the Xiaomi Redmi Note which comes with better specs.
