XOLO 8X-1000 just went official in an event in New Delhi today. We were there to cover the event live, where the focus was on the new interface language from XOLO, HIVE UI. The Play 8X-1000 is the carrier of the new HIVE UI, making it the first device running the new interface.
Talking about the specs, the XOLO 8X-1000 comes with a 1.4 GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6592M processor with MALI-450MP GPU, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage which is expandable. The phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat with HIVE UI on top which brings Last.FM integration with FusionX player, an intuitive new launcher, Gallery, Contacts app with Facebook integration, custom themes and lot more.
The front of the XOLO 8X-1000 is protected by Asahi DragonTrail glass while the glass back is protected against scratches with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. There's a 8 MP Primary camera at the back with LED flash, Sony Exmor R Sensor, f/2.0 aperture for better image capture. There's a 2 MP front-facing camera as well. The battery on the XOLO 8X-1000 is pegged at 1920 mAh and is supposed to last a day on a charge.
