So, the #MiGeneration announcement was about the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 coming to India. Mi India has just shared the news over its social media profiles. They are also running a contest, where fans will be able to get their hands-on the device before anyone else.
The post begins by saying that a "new Redmi Note 3" is coming, which may mean that we are getting a different variant of the Redmi Note 3 possibly with a Snapdragon processor instead of the Helio X10 on the Redmi Note 3 being sold in China.

At present though the company hasn't shared any information about its legal tussles with Ericsson. But we are not going to focus on that, Xiaomi is finally bringing a competent product to India after the lull in 2015.
The Redmi Note 3 being sold in China comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display running on the MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) octa-core processor with Android Lollipop based MIUI 7 onboard. It has a metal unibody construction and comes in with a massive 4000 mAh battery. You also get a 13MP rear camera with phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) capable of focusing in on an object in less than 0.1 seconds alog with a 5MP front-facing camera. It also has a fingerprint sensor just below the rear camera module.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 comes with two variants, one with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage bring sold for about Rs. 9300 in China, as well as the 3GB RAM, 32GB storage variant coming in at about Rs. 11,400.
