The Redmi 7A is the latest budget smartphone from the company. It is the successor of the popular Redmi 6A.
The new Redmi 7A runs on Snapdragon 439, the latest processor in the 2019 Snapdragon 400 series. It comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display with up to 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10.
It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, PDAF, AI scene detection and a 5-megapixel front camera with support for AI face unlock and beauty mode. Similar to other Redmi 7 series phones, this also has a splash resistant P2i coating.
The body of the phone is made of poly-carbonate which may be prone to scratches. It has dedicated dual SIM slots along with a separate a microSD card slot. Redmi series is known for large batteries and the Redmi 7A doesn't disappoint. It has a massive 4000mAh battery with support for 10W (5V/2A) charging.
The Xiaomi Redmi 7A will be comes in Black and Blue colors. Pricing will be announced after the Redmi K20 series launch event, which is scheduled for May 28.
