Xiaomi Redmi 4 has now cleared TENNA and we have some more images, specs for you. The Redmi 4 was spotted last month with a 5-inch 1080p display running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and it too comes with a massive 4000 mAh battery similar to the Redmi 3S Prime.
The variant which has just cleared certification comes with 3GB RAM and 13MP/5MP cameras. As with most Redmi offerings there may be a 2GB RAM/16GB storage variant as well. The Redmi 4 looks a lot like the Redmi Note 3 from the back including the symmetric circle design for the rear camera and fingerprint sensor. However on the front its expected to come with 2.5D curved glass.
Although we can't confirm the processor running on the smartphone, we believe the Snapdragon 625 14nm octa-core SoC will do the heavy lifting here with Adreno 506 GPU. According to the listing for 2016060 Mi smartphone which is believed to the the Redmi 4, you are getting an 8.9mm thin shell packing the large 4000 mAh battery but still keeping the weight around 160 grams.
At present there is no word from Xiaomi as to when the new Redmi 4 will be available but we can expect an announcement later this month.
