Given the onslaught of new smartphones in the same price bracket, Xiaomi has decided to put the Mi 5 on open sale on Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal and Tata CLiQ.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 was launched back in March priced at Rs. 24999 and hasn't sold well in India. The Snapdragon 820 powered smartphone suffers from memory management and network issues even though it has 3GB RAM. Xiaomi didn't bring the Pro variant with 4GB RAM to India, but given that Le Max 2 and OnePlus 3 would be available in the same price bracket with better specs, the company may decide otherwise.
