Xiaomi Mi Band 2 has just gone official and it comes with an OLED display and heart-rate sensor.
The Mi Band 2 has a 0.42-inch OLED display up front which by default shows the time, steps walked and also features continuous heart-rate tracking. You can move between the different options by just tapping on the button below the display.
It weighs in at just 7 grams and even with the display you have a 20 day battery-life here with the 70 mAh battery. Moreover it is IP67 rated for dust and water resistance. The Mi band 2 connects to your phone over Bluetooth 4.0 LE so that it won't sip much power from he connected device and given the display here, you won't have to look for stats on your phone anyways.
Sleep tracking is also present here and has been made more accurate with updated algorithms, its still automatic and doesn't need any user intervention. The strap has also got a new design and material which is said to be more skin friendly.
Pricing and Availability
The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 has been priced at CNY 149 (about $23 or Rs. 1500) and comes in black color but you would be able to get it with blue, green, orange straps. It is now available to pre-order from mi.com in China and will go on sale June 7th. There is no word as to when it will arrive in India.
