The Xiaomi Mi Band 2, oft teased by the company's CEO, ran into some production snags and wasn't launched with the Mi Max and MIUI 8. But now we have confirmation from Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun himself that the release has been pushed to next month and production is now on track.
Although there is no specific date that has been mentioned for the launch, but Jun made is clear that the Mi Band 2 will launch in early June.
Although we still haven't had a good look at the new Mi Band, but it will sport a display which would be able to show steps walked, heart-rate, calories burned, floors climbed and other such fitness data along with the current time. One of the images also showed a physical button on the fitness band which may hint at a non-touch display.
There is no word on pricing and whether the new Mi Band 2 will be available outside China.
