Xiaomi typically uses 5000mAh batteries in most of its phones and has implemented up to 120W fast charging in its latest models, such as the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ for the Indian market. The recently introduced Redmi K70 Ultra in China features a 5500mAh battery with 120W fast charging, capable of reaching a full charge in just 24 minutes.

According to leaker Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi is testing phones with battery capacities of 5500mAh, 6000mAh, 6500mAh, 7000mAh, and even 7500mAh, paired with either 100W or 120W fast charging. Here are some examples of charging times for different battery capacities:

  • 5000mAh: 120W, full charge in 18 minutes
  • 5500mAh: 100W, full charge in 34 minutes
  • 6000mAh: 120W, full charge in 30 minutes
  • 6500mAh: 100W, full charge in 49 minutes
  • 7000mAh: 120W, full charge in 40 minutes
  • 7500mAh: 100W, full charge in 63 minutes

OnePlus recently launched the Ace 3 Pro smartphone, featuring a 6100mAh (typical) battery with 100W SuperVOOC fast charging, which can be fully charged in 36 minutes.

Battery technology is rapidly evolving. Companies like OnePlus and HONOR have started using silicon-carbon negative electrode batteries, which offer high energy density in a compact size. However, many companies are now limiting charging speeds to 100W or 120W after experimenting with 150W in some devices.
