Xiaomi has launched its latest flagship smartphones the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro at an event in China, as they promised. The Xiaomi 14 has a 6.36-inch 1.5K OLED flat TCL C8 LTPO panel and Xiaomi 14 Pro has 6.78-inch 2K C8 OLED LTPO screen co-developed by Xiaomi and CSOT with a peak brightness of 3000 nits, 1-120Hz refresh rate, 1.61mm ultra-narrow bezels, 1.71mm narrow bezels, 1920Hz PWM Dimming, DC Dimming, and has support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
The latest All Around Liquid Display features a subtle downward curvature on each of its four sides and corners, ensuring a sleek, flat-screen appearance coupled with the seamless touch of a curved edge. According to the company, the All Around Liquid Display addresses common problems associated with conventional curved screens, including screen distortion, color discrepancies, unintended touches, and reliability issues. When viewed from certain angles, it creates the illusion of content floating above the display, presenting users with a completely fresh visual and tactile journey.
The Xiaomi 14 Pro Titanium Metal Special Edition comes with a middle frame crafted from titanium metal, double-sided Xiaomi Dragon Crystal glass, and an orange halo finish encircling the camera decoration. In Xiaomi 14, the Pink variant utilizes advanced nano leather material, known for its gentle and refined texture, while the remaining models boast a frosted glass back.
Both phones run on the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage, and are based on the latest Xiaomi HyperOS. Both have a Circular cold pump cooling system Vapor-liquid separation design, and a one-way circulation structure, promising 3 times the performance of traditional VC.
Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro have triple rear cameras with a 50MP 1/1.31″ 1.2μm large sensor, f/1.42 ~ f/4 variable aperture for excellent background blur, and also captures every detail clearly, but 14 has only f/1.6 aperture. For more precise exposure management, you can manually fine-tune the aperture value in 1/3 EV increments. Equipped with a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP 3.2X telephoto camera, identical to those on the Xiaomi 14, the device features Leica Summilux lenses. Along with a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP 3.2X telephoto camera, all with Leica Summilux lens.
Xiaomi 14 Pro also has a natural haptic feedback engine jointly developed with Tsinghua University, along with a 1016 CyberEngine motor. It is powered by a 4880mAh battery that supports 120W wired charging that can charge up to 100% in 18 minutes, 50W wireless charging for 100% charge in 40 minutes and 10W reverse wireless charging. The phone incorporates two Xiaomi Surge P2 charging chipsets and one Xiaomi Surge G1 battery management chipset. Additionally, it boasts IP68 certification for dust and water resistance.
Xiaomi 14 has a 4610mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging that can charge up to 100% in 31 minutes, 50W wireless charging for 100% charge in 46 minutes, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
