Xiaomi has finally confirmed that will launch its latest flagship smartphones in the Xiaomi 12 series on December 28th in China, after it confirmed that the phone will be powered by the latest flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has also confirmed that the company will introduce the most expected MIUI 13 along with the Xiaomi 12 series.
The CEO also post in their Weibo account said described the challenges that Xiaomi has faced over the past year. He mentioned that everyone is more concerned about, such as “How will Xiaomi continue to climb the high-end road? How will the smart electric car be successfully released in 2024″ and more.
All the company members and the CEO Lei Jun, Lu Weibing, General Manager of Redmi, and Xiaomi’s product director Wang Teng Thomas have confirmed on their weibo posts the Xiaomi 12 series will include the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12X, and Xiaomi 12 Pro.
Xiaomi 12 -
The Xiaomi 12 will be feature a 6.2-inch curved screen with a center punch-hole and borderless bezels. The dimensions of the phone are 152.7 x 70.0 x 8.6~11.5mm (including rear camera bump), but the company makes it smaller, but slightly thicker than the predecessor. It could be powered by a 4500mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging as well as support for wireless charging, according to the 3C certification.
Xiaomi 12X/ 12 Pro -
Xiaomi 12X is expected to feature a 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED 120Hz screen, an in-display fingerprint sensor and could be run on Snapdragon 870 processor. It will also support 67W wired fast-charging, but no detail for wireless charging support. According to the rumors, it reveals Xiaomi 12 Pro might feature a 5x telephoto lens with a bigger battery, a bigger Quad HD AMOLED screen, and will support up to 120W fast charging.
Xiaomi 12 Ultra -
Xiaomi 12 Ultra will feature a new circular camera arrangement where has 5 cameras. The LetsGoDigital provided us with 3D concept renders of the Xioami 12 Ultra, according to some leaked cases. As the image shows the main sensor is in the mid of the circle and could be a ToF sensor or a shorter telephoto in the 2x-3x range with 2 more sensors. The rest of the cutouts will be for the LED flash, the light sensor, and the PDAF. It is also expected to feature a bigger battery, a bigger Quad HD AMOLED screen with a high refresh rate, and will support up to 120W fast charging.
