Last we heard from Microsoft about Windows Phone was at the launch of Windows Phone 8, where it was said that they ran out of time to create a notification center and didn't want to release something half-baked. But the company it seems has been trying out a notification center of sorts to be included in future builds. Some leaked screenshots of a Nokia Lumia 920 running an updated build of Windows Phone 8 shows a Notification Center and some other UI changes as well. The software version is 12084.WPMAIN(wpbldlab).20130509-1407, meaning it was compiled on May 9th.
A redesigned calendar interface with weekly views is also ob-board, and the ability to sort applications by name and frequency in the apps list. There's improvement on the multitasking front as well where you now have the ability to close apps. The Reddit user who purchased the phone from eBay added that there were several applications installed which start with the letter Z, which is what Microsoft does for Developer Units. Therefore, this might be a lost developer handset with a very early build of a new pending update.
A screenshot of the Here Drive app has "beta Blue" at the end of its name, which could be a reference to Windows Phone Blue, indicating that this indeed is an early version of Microsoft's Smartphone OS.
