Windows 10 is now running on 75 Million devices worldwide. After that number has sunk in, just consider that this feat was achieved in just 4 weeks of launch. This huge number is mostly due to disgruntled Windows 8/8.1 users who wanted that Desktop experience back and the fact that the Windows 10 update was free for almost everyone.

Windows 10 75 Million Devices

Windows 10 was launched on June 29th in 190 countries at a single go. Today Yusuf Mehdi, CVP - Marketing for Windows and Devices at Microsoft announced the figures in a blog post. He also shared some more insights including the fact that over 90,000 unique PC or tablet models have been upgraded to Windows 10, giving you a hint of how huge the Windows ecosystem really is.

He also said that devices manufactured 8 years ago in 2007 have been upgraded to Windows 10, Cortana has told over half a million jokes since launch and 10 million achievements have been unlocked in Microsoft Solitaire Edition alongwith Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition beta. Moreover, there's good news on the Windows Store as well with six times more app downloads than Windows 8.

The new Windows is a comprehensive update when it comes to usability, leaving the confusing/dual-nature of Windows 8/8.1. So, are you a part of this 75 Million strong Windows 10 force? What's keeping you from updating? Share your stories below.
