World's most popular Messaging platform WhatsApp has finally made it to the web. So no more fiddling with your phone at work. The web client at present only works with Google Chrome and lets you chat with your friends right from within the browser. All you need to do is go to web.whatsapp.com, scan the QR code through updated WhatsApp app and you are done.
At present the web client part only works for Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry devices while the iPhone is not getting the feature at present due to platform limitations. The Web Client is an extension of the app and carries forward the same conversations and messages over the web as well.
You need to update WhatsApp to version 2.11.498 but might have to wait as it has just started rolling out. A long standing request from the team of WhatsApp has finally been delivered.
Update: We did play with WhatsApp Web for a while and there are some connectivity issues plaguing the new service. We will keep you updated on that front.
