Vivo has officially confirmed the launch of its latest flagship smartphone the Vivo X70 series includes X70, X70 Pro, and X70 Pro+ in China on September 9th, after rumors. The company also released a teaser image of the X70 Pro+ model that shows a leather-like back cover with a large camera bump where a quad-camera setup including a periscope telephoto lens. There is also triple LED flash along with laser autofocus as rumored earlier.
The Other teaser image shows ZEISS optics with T* coating and has ZEISS VARIO TESSAR 1.57-3.4 aperture / 14-125 ASPH lens. The camera of the phone will be high-end with image quality in both day and night mode. Earlier rumors revealed that the phones will come with a 50MP Sony IMX766 as a primary camera.
The company also announced its first self-developed V1 image chip in the Vivo X70 series, last week. The Vivo V1 chip will improve the image quality, and will also enhance the night video shooting capabilities. Vivo’s executive vice president, Hu Baishan said that the Vivo team has worked in this chip for about 24 months and invested in an R&D team of more than 300 people.
We already share the renders of the Vivo X70, X70 Pro, and X70 Pro+ smartphones a few days back. These phones could have 6.5-inch, 6.56-inch, and 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED displays, but the Pro and Pro+ models will feature a curved display, while the X70 model will come with a flat display. The X70 and X70 Pro could be powered by Dimensity 1200 processor, while the top-end X70 Pro+ is expected to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 888 processor. Earlier rumors revealed that the Vivo X70 and X70 Pro support 44W fast charging, while the X70 Pro+ supports 66W charging in the Box.
