Vivo has launched its latest flagship smartphone in the new X100 series the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro in China, as they promised. These phones have a 6.78-inch 1.5K 120Hz curved AMOLED screen with a peak brightness of up to 3000 nits, use 8T LTPO technology, and have 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
The phones are run on the Dimensity 9300 SoC with the latest up to 16GB LPDDR5T RAM from SK Hynix, up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage, and based on Android 14 with OriginOS 4.0 (China) / Funtouch OS 14 (Global). The processor has scored 2.24 million points online and under the laboratory environment the score is 2.31 million points, says the company.
The phones are available in Star Trail Blue, featuring a starry sky design, White Moonlight, Chen Ye Black, and Sunset Orange, all boasting a leather finish with a water ripple texture. Both phones hold IP68 ratings, ensuring resistance to dust and water.
The X100 comes equipped with a 50MP customized IMX920 VCS bionic primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 64MP Zeiss super telephoto periscope camera with a macro option. On the other hand, the X100 Pro sports a customized 50MP IMX989 VCS bionic primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP Zeiss super telephoto periscope camera with a macro option.
These cameras feature T* coating, and the vivo X100 Pro stands out as the first phone to incorporate a telephoto lens certified by Zeiss APO. Additionally, it includes Vivo's self-developed imaging chip V3, providing 4K-level processing, movie-level video skin tone protection, and Android's inaugural 4K portrait video shooting and editing capabilities.
The vivo X100 is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 120W flash charge, enabling a 50% charge in just 11 minutes. Meanwhile, the Pro model boasts a 5400mAh battery that supports 100W fast charging, achieving a 50% charge in 12.5 minutes. The Pro model further offers 50W wireless charging.
