Vivo today launched its new V5s smartphone in India, with a whopping 20-megapixel front facing camera with moonlight flash. The company had earlier launched the Vivo V5 with the same camera, but the V5s comes with some improvements in the software department including a wide selfie mode.
The Vivo V5s is all about the cameras, the front camera also gets a wider f/2.0 aperture and the flash emits a white light so that your face is always evenly lit without any color artifacts.
On the inside, things remain the same with a 5.5-inch 720p HD display covered in 2.5D glass along with the MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor powering the innards. All this is neatly tucked inside a unibody frame with u-shaped antenna bands to give a cleaner appearance to the back of the phone, where you also find the 13-megapixel f/2.2 camera and LED flash.
In the front, you have a capacitive home button which doubles up as the fingerprint sensor. Running on the inside is Android 6.0 Marshmallow based FunTouch OS. It also has a dedicated audio chip, Hi-Fi AK4376, to improve music listening experience over both the speaker and the headphone jack.
There's 4GB RAM on the device with 64GB internal storage which is double that of the V5. Moreover, you can also increase storage with the hybrid SIM card slot.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G VoLTE support, dual-band WiFi, GPS as well as FM Radio.

The Vivo V5s has been priced in India at Rs. 18,990 and it will be available starting 6th May. You can pre-order it starting today.
