TCL 560 has just gone official in India, the budget Android smartphone from the company comes with Eye Verify, which uses the front camera to authenticate you using Eyeprint authentication.
It comes with a 5.5-inch 720p HD IPS display running on a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor with 2GB RAM, 16GB expandable storage. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has an 8MP rear/5MP front camera. There is a LED flash in the front as well for better selfies under low light. Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G LTE support, VoLTE, WiFi, GPS, FM Radio. All this is powered by a 2500 mAh removable battery.
We tested the Eye Verify tech on the previous TCL Pride smartphone, and it didn't seem to work well. It was slow and nothing more than a gimmick. Although we haven't tested the TCL 560, using the front camera to capture intricate information about eyes doesn't seem plausible.
If you still want to have a look at the TCL 560 it will be going on sale exclusively on Amazon.in priced at Rs. 7999.
