SteelSeries has just launched the Stratus gamepad for iOS 7 devices and is the first to support the iPad. Unlike the Logitech PowerShell, the Stratus controller does not attempt to charge the device. Instead it uses bluetooth to connect to your iPhone iPad or iPod Touch. Upto four controllers can connect to a single device, which is shown as a small LED on the controller, to know which player you are controlling.
The controller has two analog sticks, two pairs of triggers, a D-pad and four buttons. The SteelSeries Stratus comes in at $99.99 which is quite steep considering it doesn't come with a lightning port and has to be charged elsewhere. The battery lasts for more than 10 hours according to SteelSeries. The Status Wireless controller is now available on pre-order from SteelSeries' website.
