Spice Smart Flo Mettle 4X Mi-426 is now available online from Saholic. For the time being we'll just call it the Mettle 4X, which doesn't feature specs as spectacular as that name with a 4-inch WVGA display, 1GHz dual-core processor and a morsel of RAM at just 256MB. Moving-on, there's nothing exciting in the camera department as well with just a 3.2MP camera with a LED flash no less and a 1.3MP front facing camera. There's no internal storage to speak of, but you can add a microSD card of upto 32GB storage capacity.
The only saving grace for the Spice Mettle 4X Mi-426 is that its available for just Rs. 4299, the budget friendly smartphone for everybody. GPS, Wifi, dual-SIM capability all find its way into the Mettle 4X, and that's quite a lot of features for a phone priced so less. But 256MB of RAM can be a hindrance especially if you are running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, which we have observed first hand with the Lava Iris 402. Still at this price, its worth a shot.
Spice also recently launched the Smart Flo Mettle 5x Mi-504 which features a 5-inch qHD display, 1.3GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 8MP/1.3MP cameras running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. If the Mettle 4X is not your cup of tea, you can definitely have a look at the Mettle 5X but both of these don't have 3G support and is that's something you need these are pointless options. Far better options including the Karbonn A12+ or even the XOLO A500S are available in the market within similar price brackets.
