Sony Xperia ZR is now finally available for direct purchase from online retailers in India. The Xperia ZR comes with both IP55 and IP58 rating for dust and water resistance. In terms of specifications too it is not a slouth, the XPeri ZR has a 4.55-inch 720 p display powered by the Mobile Bravia Engine 2, and runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The ZR runs on a 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ 8064 processor with Adreno 320 GPU. There are two cameras on-board, the primary 13MP camera comes with AutoFocus, LED Flash and EXMOR RS Sensor, while there is also a front-facing 0.3MP camera for video calls.
The primary 13MP camera on the Xperia ZR also allows for underwater video capture till 1.5 meters for a maximum duration of 30 minutes.
The Sony Xperia ZR is not very thick either at just 10.4 mm and weighing 140 grams, even though it is dust and water resistant. There's 2GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage which is expandable via the micro-SD card slot. Everything is powered by a 2300 mAh battery. The Xperia ZR is available for Rs. 29,990 in Black, White and Pink colors.
